ITW Shippers air bags effectively brace goods against the potentially damaging motions caused by pitch, roll, heave, sway and surge of a ship at sea. In most cases, an entire load can be effectively braced with one or two dunnage air bags placed properly at the rear of the load. The combined frictional forces between the product and the sidewalls-together with the usual frictional force between the load and trailer floor-restrains the remainder of the load from moving toward the door. Using dunnage air bags restricts side shifting because air bags fill the lateral void and hold product securely against sidewalls.
